In the winter, the glorious mountain region around the massive Hochkönig also offers many superb leisure activities. Skiing fans especially coming to the Hochkönig region, which is a part of the biggest areas of skiing fun in Austria - the Ski Amadè, get their money's worth.

The Ski Amadè unites 360km of superb piste and 270 lifts from the Salzburg region and Styria to be the biggest skiing pleasure in Austria.  The ski pass covers the following places:

Hochkönig region: Dienten, Maria Alm, Mühlbach

Salzburg Sports World: Flizmoos, Radstadt, Altenmarkt, Zauchensee, Flachauwinkel, Flachau, Eben, Goldegg, Kleinarl, Wagrain, St.Johann, Alpendorf

Schladming/Dachstein/Tauern: Pruggern, Gröbming, Haus/Ennstal, Schladming, Ramsau/Dachstein, Pichl/Reiteralm, Forstau/Fageralm

Gastein: Sportgastein/Bad Gastein, Bad Hofgastein, Dorfgastein
